I was born and raised in the San Francisco
Bay Area. After college, I served 2 years as a Volunteer in Service to
America (V.I.S.T.A.) in Wichita Kansas before going to Denton,Tx to
attend Texas Women's University. I married in 1973 , moved to Napa, California and started my career as a sheetmetal sales rep and estimator for a local contractor. I have 2 adult children who were born here in Napa. My son, 27, a graduate of San Francisco State is a national sales executive for a Wine Co-operative here in Napa and my daughter, 22 lives at home while attending college for her accounting degree . |
In 1985 I became a single Mom until 1988 when I married Don Kuhuski, who refers to himself as Mr. Lori. When he is not on a client site, he assists with the phones, UPS, packaging and inventory control at NapaValleyWWW.
Don, who is a senior systems analyst for a San Francisco Software company
travels extensively, often spending years on a project (4 years in Sumatra in a
small jungle village during which I would fly to visit him every 9 weeks) which
was becoming, increasingly, a challenge. As the children grew up I decided to
quit the "day" job and start a business of my own to provide
flexibility in my life and allow me to fly weekly to visit my husband on his client sites.

In 1996 Napa Valley World Wide Wholesale was created and we went on line in April, selling novelty gift items. Our product line changed as our customers would ask for items we didn't normally carry such as candles. We began to concentrate on customized and/or personalized items and we do private labeling of our bath and body line as well as on our hand poured candle line. We currently distribute products for 3 major manufacturers and manufacture ourselves our new Smelly Pelly tm potpourri. |

I have had a variety of jobs in my life including : inhalation therapist and
private investigator (I am still under contract with a local P.I. company) but
owning my own company has been the most rewarding.
I am a member of the Napa Chamber of Commerce, San Francisco Bay Area Better
Business Bureau and am actively involved in local organizations including the
First United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society, The United Ostomy
Association and the Napa County Grand Jury Association.
